Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for your gender, date of birth, general health, tobacco use, the coverage amount and the term length you want. These six pieces of information are enough for the carriers to return their rates. We only collect your name and address if you decide to apply for coverage.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They are quotes from each carrier for the health rating you selected. Your final premium will be set by the carrier after underwriting, which may confirm, improve or adjust your health class. This site is not an offer of insurance or a guarantee of any particular price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You will enter your name and then create an application from the quote you selected. The application opens on the carriers' secure platform, pre-filled with your answers. You can leave and come back to finish, and you sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency, handles the application process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the amount of coverage, and your personal health information. Many carriers now offer fast decisions without a medical exam for applicants who qualify. Each quote shows whether a medical exam is required, might be required, or is not needed.

Is a longer term better?

A term should cover the period when a family would suffer financially from losing an income—a mortgage, school-age children, or a business loan. Longer terms cost more each month but protect you for more years. This tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30-year terms side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not ask for your contact information. We do not sell your data or share it with other companies, and our site measurement does not use cookies. See the privacy policy for the complete list of what information we collect and which companies handle it.
